Anniversary!

Yesterday we went out to try Crawdaddy's, this Louisiana Creole restaurant in Makati City. The food was absolutely fantastic! We were greeted by the chef, Mason (who's actually from Southern Illinois) and we settled down to order Shrimp Louis Salad, Crawdad & Sausage Caribe, and Soft Shell Crab Po'Boy, washed down with Hillbilly Iced Tea (w/ 3 shots of rum). WHOOOBOY! Really spicy! Just the way I like it. My finicky boyfriend liked them too. We're checking what we've eaten against a menu so we can try them all.

Since we both had headaches, we decided to make an early night of it and continue our celebration over the weekend. ^_^

Today is my second anniversary with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, I had to go to work - too busy to take the day off (besides, with an upcoming conference in Korea - for which I'll be gone a week - I gotta work my butt off) but he surprised me by coming over to bring me more than a couple dozen roses in many gorgeous colours. Boy, did that make my day! He was in my office only for a little while before he had to go to work (which is more than an hour and a few cities away) but he truly brightened my day. So sweet! I decided to share the wealth by distributing some of the roses to my friends, with a note that said "You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses ~ Ziggy" and I didn't write my name - instead I signed it 'Secret!'. The remainder fit in a vase that's the centerpiece of the office right now. We're meeting each other later for dinner and I can't wait! ^_^
